About Me
Hello! Please allow me to introduce myself, so you know whose website you're visiting.
I've lived in the VA/DC/MD area since 1994.
I'm a licensed REALTOR® / Salesperson affiliated with Long & Foster REALTORS®. I "hang my sign" with the Old Town Historic District office, but I work almost exclusively from my home office, where I tend to be most productive. My business philosophy is based on honesty, loyalty, and facilitation (v. salesmanship); the first two of which I request in return from my clients.
I work with a wide spectrum of clients, but my focus is on military, federal civilian, and government contractor clients. This is probably influenced most by my background. I served 8 years in the Air Force (Bolling AFB and the Pentagon) and worked as a civilian with Army Special Forces officers (Army Human Resources Command in Alexandria) for a couple years before transferring to real estate full-time. My husband retired from the AF at Andrews AFB August 2013. My dad retired from the Navy after 24 years. My father-in-law retired from the Army after almost 30 years and now works as an Army contractor. My mother-in-law is a Marine/Navy contractor. As you can see, we truly are a joint service family. As a result, I have a fair understanding of military, federal civilian, and contractor lifestyles, needs, language/jargon, housing allowances, etc. I also regularly deal with VA loans and military-affiliated banks/credit unions (i.e., USAA, Navy FCU, and Pentagon FCU). In fact, I have the VA Regional Processing Center on my speed dial.
I truly love my job. I enjoy listing properties, but my true passion is working with buyers, especially first-time homebuyers. To me, there is little as fulfilling as seeing the look on a buyer's face when that buyer finds the house.
If you're in the market, I'd be honored to assist you with your purchase and/or sale!
Sincerely,
Brandy
